How to log out of CV-Library recruiter

It takes about five seconds — here's exactly where the button hides, plus a few good habits for shared computers and candidate data.

The 10-second version

  1. Look to the top right of the recruiter dashboard.
  2. Click your name, company name or the account icon.
  3. Choose Log out (sometimes labelled Sign out).
  4. Wait for the sign-in screen to appear — that confirms you're out.

On a shared computer, go one step further

Logging out ends the session, but your browser may still remember the password. On any machine you don't own, use a private window, or afterwards clear saved passwords and site data for cv-library.co.uk. Candidate records are personal data under UK GDPR, and keeping them safe sits with you as the recruiter.

If the log out button doesn't respond

  • Refresh the page and try again — a stalled script is the usual cause.
  • Close the browser entirely, which ends the session in most cases.
  • Clear cookies for the site if you still appear signed in.
  • Ask your account administrator to end the session if the seat looks stuck.

Related questions

How do I log out of CV-Library recruiter?

Open the account menu in the top right of the recruiter dashboard — usually your name or company name — and choose 'Log out' or 'Sign out'. You'll be returned to the sign-in page.

Does CV-Library log recruiters out automatically?

Sessions time out after a period of inactivity for security, but you should never rely on that. Log out manually whenever you step away from a shared machine.

How do I sign out on a shared or public computer?

Log out from the account menu, then clear the browser's saved passwords and history for the site. Better still, use a private or incognito window from the start so nothing is stored.

Can I be logged in on two devices at once?

Many recruiter accounts allow one active session per user seat, so signing in elsewhere may end your first session. If colleagues need their own access, ask your administrator for additional user seats.

Why should recruiters log out properly?

CV databases hold personal data covered by UK GDPR. Leaving a session open on an unattended machine risks unauthorised access to candidate records, which is your organisation's responsibility, not the jobboard's.
